The North Wall is a great dive spot for novice divers because of the calm, sheltered waters. The shallow sand floor descends to an area with large boulders at a depth of forty feet. Around ninety feet, you'll encounter a dramatic undersea cliff-face that eventually leads to the Sand Falls. Impressive species in this area include Moray Eels and Barracudas.

The South Wall drops from seventy feet to one hundred and thirty feet in a dramatic undersea canyon. You'll be delighted by the delicate intricacy of many sea fans. Eels, tuna, bonito, rays and groupers can be spotted along this massive wall.

Home to a spectacular maritime garden full of both soft and hard corals, sea fans, sponges, and gorgonians, Neptune's Finger is an impressive site that drops from thirty to one hundred feet. You'll witness a flurry of activity form numerous species, including tropical fish, Sting Rays, Giant Manta Rays, Eagle Rays and Marine Turtles.

Land's End is a point where the Pacific waters converge with the Sea of Cortez. This site is located within the federally protected confines of Cabo San Lucas Marine Preserve. A large colony of Sea Lions calls this nature sanctuary home. Moray Eels, Sea Bass, as well as schools of sardines and jacks inhabit this area. Large sport-fish have been known to swarm the area, hunting for bait fish. A shipwreck off the point has become a thriving habitat for many species.

The Sand Falls at Pelican Rock are truly a wonder to witness. This site, also located in the Cabo San Lucas Marine Preserve, is home to a wall that extends to a one hundred foot depth. This rocky incline is home to gorgonians and sea fans. If you love to take underwater photos or videos, Pelican Rock is the spot. It is an excellent place to witness manta rays on a night dive.

These fabulous dive spots are conveniently close to Cabo San Lucas' downtown marina, allowing for quick travel time and giving divers a less expensive tour option. Are you on a cruise ship stop-over and only have a limited amount of time to dive? A one-tank dive to a local site is the best way to fit some excellent diving into a tight vacation schedule.
