Santiago Hummer Tour
The Santiago tour will allow you to experience waterfalls in the middle of the desert. Driving down the highway on your way to Miraflores you will see local businesses. These businesses are known for their amazing craftsmanship where wood furniture and leather goods are concerned.
As you exit the highway, your guide will drive you through the hills and arroyos. You will head away from Miraflores and explore off-road terrain. You will have a chance to look at the flora and fauna, while taking in the local colors of the cape region. As you head to Santiago, you will pass local ranchos and fields containing mangos, banana trees, citrus, and papaya. The first thing you will see in Santiago will be the sanctuary. The sanctuary is an extremely unique ecosystem. The water that is present actually runs under the mountains in order to arrive in Santiago.
Soon after arriving you will then visit the mission of Santiago de Los Coras. The mission was founded by Jesuit Ignacio Maria Napoles in 1721. You will stop at a lodge and have a drink while a new driver is assigned to your tour. Once your new driver takes control you will head off a few miles to the main attraction of this tour. The waterfalls, known as Canon de la Zorra are truly an amazing sight to see. Hikers love this area because of high adventure factor. As you travel up the stream there are numerous fresh water deposits, large granite rocks, and boulders of various sizes.
Heading back to Santiago you will stop at El Palomar for dinner. El Palomar is an excellent restaurant in Santiago where you will be able to enjoy a first class, three-course meal. Finally, as you head back to Los Cabos, and you follow the highway, you will literally drive across the tropic of Cancer.
