Outfitters Turtle Release
In our Turtle Release programs, you and your family will be able to actually help a newborn sea turtle get released safely into the wild to start a new life out at sea. Your trip starts off with meeting one of our expert turtle guides at the turtle nursery. The guide will head out with you to the beach with a box of newly born and hatched baby sea turtles. You get to choose one, name it, and then safely and properly release it into the wild. You will also be able to help the guide and our other guests liberate the rest of the group of sea turtles.
This excursion is an excellent way of familiarizing yourself with the habits and behavior of sea turtles. Sea turtles are prominent all throughout the Pacific Coast and this allows you to see how they go from being in an egg to starting a new life out in the ocean. You will learn to appreciate their subtle movements, grace, and their land and ocean habitats. A portion of your payment for the excursion is donated to a local sea turtle conservation program.
